ISRO ICRB has published the result of the 21 September 2026 CBT for Assistant, JPA, UDC and Stenographer posts (Advt. ISRO:ICRB:01(A-JPA):2026): 21 zone-wise lists of 1,429 candidates in all (AIJobAlert's count) shortlisted for the Skill Test on 1 November 2026, with Document Verification dates and venues for each zone.

## Overview

The ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB) has published the result of the Computer Based Test (CBT) held on **21 September 2026** for Assistant, Junior Personal Assistant (JPA), Upper Division Clerk (UDC) and Stenographer posts under Advertisement No. **ISRO:ICRB:01(A-JPA):2026 dated 27-07-2026**. The result is a set of **21 zone-wise lists of candidates shortlisted for the Skill Test**, which is on **1 November 2026 (Sunday)**. Counting the rows of all 21 lists gives **1,429 shortlisted candidates**.

Each list shows only the serial number, Roll Number and Registration No. of the shortlisted candidates. No names, categories, marks or cut-offs are printed in any list. Each list also gives a Document Verification date, time and venue and the skill test reporting time, timing and venue.

Every list prints the same skill test date (01.11.2026, Sunday) and reporting time (8.00 AM). The Document Verification date, time and venue differ by list, as below. In the three Thiruvananthapuram lists the Document Verification venue and the skill test venue are different places.

## How final selection works

- The skill test is qualifying. Final selection is based on the marks scored in the written test (CBT), among the candidates who qualify in the skill test.
- The advertisement says candidates are shortlisted for the skill test on the basis of written test performance, in the ratio of 1:5 (maximum) to the category-wise number of vacancies, with a minimum of 10 candidates (an aggregate minimum of 10 for JPA/Stenographer). For reserved vacancies, distinct/additional candidates are shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 (maximum), without regard to the reserved candidates, if any, shortlisted under the UR category.
- If enough candidates for the select list and wait list do not qualify the skill test, ISRO will shortlist additional candidates for a skill test in the ratio of 1:5, to the extent of the shortfall.
- Ties in the written test are broken by marks in General Intelligence & Reasoning (Assistant/UDC) or English Language & Comprehension (JPA/Stenographer), and then by age, the older candidate first.
- ISRO reserves the right to change the qualifying criteria for the written test and skill test for administrative reasons.
- The advertisement does not give a date for the final select list. It says all further communications will be through the candidate's registered e-mail ID or the ISRO website.

## Documents, NOC and travel allowance

- **Original documents:** the advertisement says candidates have to produce all original documents in proof of details furnished in their online applications at the time of the Skill Test. The shortlists themselves print no list of documents.
- **NOC:** candidates employed under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies etc. must submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer, at the time of the Skill Test or as and when called for. A candidate who fails to submit the NOC in original at the time of the Skill Test will not be permitted to appear in it, TA will not be paid, and such candidates will not have any claim for participation in the further recruitment process. Any false claim in this regard noticed at any stage of recruitment will result in disqualification of candidature/employment. A candidate who gained or changed employment after applying must inform the employer and submit the NOC at the Skill Test. ISRO's FAQ says candidates working in the private sector/MNC do not need to submit an NOC.
- **PwBD:** candidates applying for a post reserved for PwBD have to submit a self-attested copy of the Disability Certificate in the prescribed format at the time of the Skill Test.
- **False information:** if any information furnished online is found to be false, the candidate will not be allowed for the Skill Test and TA will not be paid.
- **TA:** candidates attending the Skill Test are reimbursed to-and-fro second-class train fare by the shortest route from the city given in the online application to the place of the Skill Test. No TA is paid for the written test.
- **Canvassing:** the advertisement says canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
- **Call letters:** the advertisement says intimation of call letters for the Skill Test is sent through e-mail/SMS only; no hard copy is sent. It also says all further communications will be through the registered e-mail ID/ISRO website only, asks candidates to check their e-mail (including spam/junk folders) regularly and visit the ISRO website from time to time, and says ISRO will not be responsible for non-receipt of any intimation sent or provided that way.

1. **Open ISRO's recruitment page** — Go to isro.gov.in → Careers and open the item “ADVT NO. ISRO:ICRB:01(A-JPA):2026 DATED 27.07.2026: - List of candidates short-listed for Skill Test …”. It opens the page “Recruitment to the post of Assistants, Junior Personal Assistants, Upper Division Clerk and Stenographers”. You can also use the official page link on this post.
2. **Open your post and zone list** — Under “List of candidates short-listed for Skill Test [Results of Computer Based Test conducted on 21.09.2026]”, open the PDF for your post and zone, for example “zone : Bengaluru(Assistant)”. The same lists are linked in the table above.
3. **Search for your Roll Number** — The lists show Sr.No, Roll Number and Registration No. only. Search the PDF for your Roll Number or Registration No.
4. **Note your Document Verification and skill test details** — If your number is listed, note the Document Verification date, time and venue, and the skill test reporting time and venue printed at the top of your list.

## Vacancies after the corrigendum (11-08-2026)

The corrigendum dated 11-08-2026 revised the zone-wise vacancies: Assistant Bengaluru from 26 to 28, Assistant Thiruvananthapuram from 6 to 26 and UDC Bengaluru from 22 to 23. JPA Bengaluru stays at 19 with a changed PwBD and Ex-Servicemen split, and one UR Stenographer vacancy is identified for the DOS Branch Secretariat, New Delhi. ISRO prints the advertised totals for Assistant (113), JPA (81), Assistant (Autonomous Bodies) (17) and JPA (Autonomous Bodies) (1), but no grand total; the revised Assistant total (135) and the grand totals (244 and 267) are added up by AIJobAlert.
