The Railway Recruitment Boards will hold CBT-I for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) under CEN 01/2026 from 3 to 5 November 2026. The dates come from the RRB notice of 21 September 2026, which calls them tentative.
The Exam City & Date intimation opens 10 days before your exam date. The e-call letter opens 4 days before the date on that intimation. For 3 November candidates, that puts the city slip around 24 October and the e-call letter around 30 October.

CBT-I is only a screening exam, and its marks are not counted in the final panel. Each RRB shortlists candidates for CBT-2 on normalised marks, among those who chose that RRB. The number shortlisted is up to 15 times that RRB’s notified vacancies, and the Railways may raise or lower this limit.
