How to resize a signature to 10–20 KB

Why a portal rejects your photo or signature
- The file is larger than the maximum KB, or smaller than the minimum KB, the form allows.
- The width and height in pixels do not match what the form asks for.
- The file is a PNG, HEIC or PDF when the form only accepts JPG or JPEG.
- The photo is blurred, too dark, or the face is not clearly visible.
- The signature is faint, cut off at the edges, or written on lined or coloured paper.

Is my photo uploaded to your server?
No. Your photo and signature are resized inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and the images are gone when you close the page.
What size should my photo and signature be for a government job form?
It depends on the recruitment, so always check your notification. IBPS bank exam forms ask for a photo of 200 × 230 pixels between 20 KB and 50 KB, and a signature of 140 × 60 pixels between 10 KB and 20 KB, in JPG format. These are the sizes this tool starts with.
How do I reduce my photo size to 50 KB or less?
Drop the photo into the resizer. It is compressed to the highest JPG quality that stays under 50 KB. For a different limit, tap Customize and drag the File size limit slider.
How do I increase my file size to at least 20 KB?
If the resized image comes out below the minimum, the tool adds blank data to the file to reach it. The picture itself does not change, and the file stays a normal JPG.
Can I use it for SSC, UPSC, railway and state exams?
Yes. Open the notification for your exam, tap Customize, and set the Dimensions and File size limit to the values it gives. The ready card confirms the file meets them before you download.
Can I resize a thumb impression or handwritten declaration?
Yes. They are detected automatically, or you can pick the type yourself. They start at the IBPS sizes: 240 × 240 pixels (20–50 KB) for a thumb impression and 800 × 400 pixels (50–100 KB) for a declaration.
Does it work on mobile?
