Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AIJobAlert handles personal data on AIJobAlert.com. It is written to describe what the site actually does, not what a template says it might do.

The short version

• There is no reader account and no login. You never sign up to read.
• We do not run advertising or advertising-tracking scripts.
• We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets analytics cookies; nothing else we run does.
• The only personal detail we store is an email address, and only if you submit one yourself.
• We do not sell or rent personal data. Ever.

What we collect

Email address, only if you give it

If you subscribe to job alerts, we store the email address you enter, the date you subscribed, and any category or state preferences attached to the subscription. That is the whole record. We use it solely to send you notification emails, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Messages you send us

If you write to us or use the contact form, we keep your message and the address you sent it from for as long as it takes to deal with it.

Technical data

Like any website, our servers process the IP address and browser user agent that accompany each request. We use them to serve the page, to keep server logs for security and debugging, and to rate-limit form submissions so the subscribe form cannot be abused by a script. Rate limiting is held in memory and is not written to any database.

Usage statistics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and roughly what device, browser and region they use. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones. We see only aggregated reports, not individual people, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers.

What we do not collect

We do not collect names, phone numbers, dates of birth, documents, photographs, registration numbers, roll numbers or examination results. We never ask for a payment, and we do not process payment details, because nothing here is paid for.

Be careful of anyone claiming otherwise. Applications and fees are paid only on the official website of the recruiting body.

Cookies

Reading AIJobAlert.com sets Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_…), used only to produce visit statistics. We use no advertising or social-media cookies. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on; the site works the same either way.

Our administrators sign in to a separate, non-public area, and that sign-in uses one strictly necessary session cookie. It is never set on a reader’s browser and is not used for tracking.

Services we rely on

Running the site means other companies process some data on our behalf:

• Our hosting provider serves the site and keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses.
• Our database provider stores subscription records.
• Google Analytics (Google LLC) receives page-view and device information from your browser to produce our visit statistics, under Google’s privacy policy.
• Cloudinary may deliver images on our pages. When it does, your browser requests that image directly from Cloudinary, so it sees your IP address as part of serving the file.

Fonts are served from our own domain, so reading the site makes no request to a font provider.

Links to other websites

Pages here link out to official government portals and to the websites of recruiting bodies. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we have no control over them. Once you follow a link, you are on their site and under their terms.

How long we keep things

A subscription record is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Messages are kept while we are dealing with them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and debugging.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Send the request through our contact form and we will act on it. Because we hold so little, there is usually nothing to find beyond a single email address.

Children

This site publishes recruitment information for adults seeking employment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
