The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will hold the Computer Based Test (CBT) for Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III under CEN 02/2026 from 6 to 9 October 2026. The schedule comes from the RRB notice of 10 September 2026, which calls it tentative.
The admit card comes in two parts. The Exam City & Date intimation opens about 10 days before your exam date. The e-call letter opens about 4 days before the date shown on your city intimation. For candidates on the first day, 6 October, that puts the city slip around 26 September and the e-call letter around 2 October. Check your own date on the city intimation.

There is a separate CBT for each pay level. Each paper has 100 questions to answer in 90 minutes. One-third of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer, and marks are normalised across shifts. RRB says the subject-wise split is indicative.

The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for UR and EWS, 30% for OBC (NCL) and SC, and 25% for ST.
Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication is done at the centre before you enter the exam hall.
Bring your original Aadhaar card or a printout of your e-verified Aadhaar.
If you have not verified your Aadhaar yet, log in at rrbapply.gov.in and complete it before the exam.
Keep your Aadhaar unlocked in the UIDAI system before exam day, even if you verified it while applying.
Your Aadhaar should show the correct name, date of birth (as per your Class 10 certificate), a recent photograph, address and father’s name.
Read the instructions printed on the e-call letter and follow them exactly.
