MPPSC State Forest Service Main Final Answer Key 2026 Out: All 4 Sets, 1 Question Deleted

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released the final answer key of the State Forest Service Main Exam 2026 on 16 October 2026. It is one combined key for all four question paper sets, A, B, C and D, for the paper in General Studies and Forestry & General Science. The exam was held on Sunday, 27 September 2026 under Advt. No. 30/2025.

MPPSC invited objections to the provisional key in its notice of 29 September 2026. A committee of subject experts went through the objections and issued this final key. The Commission's notice (PDF) says the result will be declared on the basis of this final key, and that no further representation or correspondence about the question paper will be accepted.

Two questions in the final key need your attention. One question is deleted (Set A Q28, Set B Q29, Set C Q28, Set D Q46), and one question accepts two answers, C and D (Set A Q38, Set B Q24, Set C Q50, Set D Q19). All the question-wise answers for every set are given below.

• Deleted question: the final key marks it "DELETE". MPPSC's rules say a question with no correct option is removed from the paper, and every candidate who appeared gets the full marks of that question. So treat it as a correct answer for yourself, whatever you marked or left blank.
• Question with two answers: the final key shows "C, D". The rules say that where a question has more than one correct option, all the correct options are accepted.
• If the Hindi and English versions of a question differ, only the Hindi version is valid.
• The advertisement says there is no re-evaluation or recounting in MPPSC exams.

Each question carries 3 marks, and the paper is 3 hours long. There is negative marking: 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. MPPSC's exam plan gives the formula as (3 × R) − W, where R is the number of right answers and W is the number of wrong answers. Marking more than one option counts as unattempted.

Your marks = (3 × correct answers) − wrong answers. Count the deleted question as correct, and accept either C or D on the two-answer question. For example, 110 correct answers (including the deleted question), 25 wrong and 15 not attempted give (3 × 110) − 25 = 305 out of 450.

Qualifying marks: you must score at least 40% separately in Section A and in Section B. For SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PH candidates of Madhya Pradesh the plan sets 30% in each section. The written merit is made by adding the marks of both sections.

This is only your own estimate. The marks that count are the ones in the result MPPSC declares.

1. Result. MPPSC will declare the Mains result on the basis of this final key. No date is announced yet, and the result will be listed on the MPPSC results page.
2. Documents. With the result, MPPSC fixes a last date for sending documents. Only candidates whose documents are found eligible are called for the interview, and the Commission does not accept documents after that date.
3. Interview. The interview is for 50 marks, with no minimum pass mark. Candidates are provisionally shortlisted up to 3 times the advertised vacancies, along with candidates who tie on the last marks. Absence from the interview makes a candidate ineligible for selection.
4. Physical standards and fitness test, by the State Government. Male candidates must walk 25 km in 4 hours. Women candidates for Assistant Conservator of Forest must walk 14 km in 4 hours.
5. Medical examination, by the Madhya Pradesh Government medical board.

The final selection list is made only from the Mains and interview marks. The Prelims is a screening test and its marks do not count. For the Mains, the exam plan puts the written paper at 450 marks and the interview at 50, so the total is 500.

The advertisement says these numbers can change, and that only SC and ST candidates who are native residents of Madhya Pradesh are considered for the Van Kshetrapal posts. Of the 6 Assistant Conservator posts, 1 is in the SC, 1 in the ST, 2 in the OBC, 1 in the EWS and 1 in the unreserved category.
