The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has three MP Police recruitments running at the same time. Two are still taking applications. Here is what each one needs, drawn from the MPESB rulebooks.

| 2 | Intellectual Ability and Mental Aptitude | 30 |
| 3 | Science and Simple Arithmetic | 30 |
100 questions in Hindi, 2 hours, and no negative marking: a wrong answer simply scores zero, so leave nothing blank. Seven times the vacancies in each category go to the physical test: an 800 m run (40 marks), long jump (30) and 7.26 kg shot put (30). You need at least 30 of the 100 physical marks. Final merit is written marks plus physical test marks.
| Post | Posts | Pay scale |
|---|---|---|
| Subedar (Ministerial) Stenographer | 135 | ₹36,200 – ₹1,14,800 |
| ASI (Ministerial) | 520 | ₹19,500 – ₹62,000 |
Both posts need 12th pass and CPCT passed with Hindi typing. Without CPCT, you are not eligible. Subedar (Steno) also needs a Hindi shorthand certificate at 100 words per minute and a computer qualification. ASI needs a computer qualification such as a DOEACC diploma, 1-year COPA from ITI, BCA/MCA or an engineering degree. The height requirement is lower: 162 cm for men and 152 cm for women, with no chest measurement.
The written exam has the same three-part pattern as the Constable exam. After it, Steno candidates take a shorthand dictation test and ASI candidates a typing test, and you need at least 30% in it. You can correct your form until 13 October.
