TNPSC's remaining 2026 exams: Group 1 Prelims on 27 September (hall ticket out), Group 2 & 2A Prelims on 1 November (not 25 October), and Group 4 planned for 20 December with the notification due on 6 October.
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has three big exams left in 2026. One date has moved from the annual planner, and one notification is due soon. Here is what the latest official press releases say.

Press release no. 111/2026 dated 17 September confirms the Group I Prelims on 27 September 2026 in the forenoon, in OMR mode, at 38 district centres. Download your hall ticket from tnpsc.gov.in or tnpscexams.in using your application number and date of birth.
TNPSC's Annual Planner 2026 listed 25 October for the Group II/IIA Prelims. Press release no. 94/2026 dated 11 August 2026, issued with Notification No. 07/2026, gives 1 November 2026. Some older calendars still show the planner date. Go by the press release.
The Annual Planner (published 3 December 2025) lists 6 October 2026 for the Group IV notification and 20 December 2026 for the exam. TNPSC calls the planner tentative. Until the notification is out, nobody knows the number of vacancies, and any figure you see quoted is a guess.
What is known is the current exam scheme:

The minimum qualifying mark is 90 out of 300 for SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC(OBCM) and BCM candidates, and 120 for others. The paper is at SSLC (Class 10) standard. TNPSC notes the scheme can change until the notification is published. Our TNPSC Group 4 syllabus page has the full topic list.
Tip: Part A is an eligibility-cum-scoring test worth 150 of the 300 marks, so it counts towards your rank as well as being a qualifying hurdle. Give it proper revision time.

TNPSC applications go through One Time Registration on tnpsc.gov.in. If yours is old, update your photo, signature and certificates now so you can apply on the day the Group 4 notification comes out.
