Rajasthan CET Senior Secondary is on 23–25 October and CET Graduation Level on 1–3 December 2026. RAS Prelims is proposed for 6 December, and the RAS form edit window closes on 30 September.
Rajasthan aspirants have three major exams in the last quarter of 2026: two rounds of the Common Eligibility Test run by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), and the RAS Prelims run by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).

CET does not itself give you a job. It makes you eligible for the posts listed in the CET advertisements: No. 08/2026 for Senior Secondary level and No. 09/2026 for Graduation level. Recruitment exams for those posts follow later. RSSB announced the dates in a press note signed on 17 June 2026 and calls them proposed.
The Senior Secondary CET runs Friday to Sunday. The Graduation CET runs Tuesday to Thursday, so working candidates may need leave on weekdays. Your own date and shift will be on your admit card.
RPSC's press note of 23 September 2026 proposes 6 December 2026 for the RAS Prelims (Advt. 02/2026-27). It also opens a window from 24 to 30 September 2026 to edit your application through the SSO portal, for a ₹500 fee. Candidates who are not eligible or do not want to appear can withdraw their form in the same window.
If you selected the wrong category, qualification or exam centre, this is the only chance to fix it before the admit card is generated.

About 15 times the number of vacancies qualify for the Mains, which has four descriptive papers of 200 marks each. The syllabus leans heavily on Rajasthan: history, art and culture, geography, polity and economy of the state each have their own units, and current affairs is asked "with special reference to Rajasthan".

Each Mains paper is descriptive and 3 hours long. Since Prelims only screens, your rank is decided at Mains and the interview. It makes sense to prepare for Prelims with Mains-style reading, not in isolation.
