Gujarat Anganwadi Worker & Helper Recruitment 2026

The Women and Child Development Department, Gujarat is filling 6,843 posts under the ICDS scheme: 3,043 Anganwadi Workers and 3,800 Anganwadi Helpers. Every district panchayat and municipal area has published its own advertisement on the e-HRMS portal, 50 in all.

Only women can apply, and only for an Anganwadi centre in the area where they live. The online form is open until 14 October 2026, 12:00 midnight. There is no written exam. Selection is through an online, centre-wise merit list made from your education marks.

Honorarium

Anganwadi Worker: ₹10,000 per month. Anganwadi Helper: ₹5,500 per month. This is an honorary service (માનદ સેવા), not a regular government post.

Who can apply

• Women who are citizens of India.
• Worker: 12th pass, or 10th pass with an AICTE-recognised diploma of at least two years. Helper: 10th pass. Higher qualifications can also apply.
• Age: 18 to 33 years on 14 October 2026. A serving Anganwadi Helper applying for the Worker post can be up to 43.
• Residence: at least one year in the revenue village where the centre is (rural), or in the ward of the municipality/corporation (urban).

Get the residence certificate first

You need a residence certificate in the format fixed by the WCD department, issued by the Mamlatdar's office through the Jan Seva Kendra. It must not be more than six months old on the date the advertisement was published. A certificate in any other format is not valid, so arrange this before you sit down to fill the form.

Who cannot apply

• A woman with a criminal record, a police complaint against her, or a conviction by a court.
• Anyone declared insolvent, or removed or suspended from earlier government, semi-government or honorary service as a penalty.
• If a family member already works in the same centre as Worker/Helper: mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law (દેરાણી-જેઠાણી), two sisters, or નણંદ-ભાભી.
• Anyone holding an elected or honorary post in a local body, the Assembly, Parliament, a government body, a registered society or trust, who is not willing to leave it.

ગુજરાતીમાં

મહિલા અને બાળ વિકાસ વિભાગ, ગુજરાત દ્વારા ICDS યોજના હેઠળ આંગણવાડી કાર્યકરની 3,043 અને તેડાગરની 3,800 એમ કુલ 6,843 જગ્યાઓ માટે જિલ્લા અને શહેર મુજબ જાહેરાત બહાર પાડવામાં આવી છે. ઓનલાઈન અરજી e-HRMS પોર્ટલ પર 14 ઓક્ટોબર 2026 રાત્રે 12:00 કલાક સુધી કરી શકાશે.

માનદવેતન: આંગણવાડી કાર્યકર ₹10,000 અને તેડાગર ₹5,500 પ્રતિ માસ.

લાયકાત: કાર્યકર માટે ધોરણ 12 પાસ અથવા ધોરણ 10 પાસ સાથે AICTE માન્ય ઓછામાં ઓછો 2 વર્ષનો ડિપ્લોમા. તેડાગર માટે ધોરણ 10 પાસ. વધુ લાયકાત ધરાવતી મહિલાઓ પણ અરજી કરી શકે છે.

ઉંમર: છેલ્લી તારીખે 18 થી 33 વર્ષ. હાલના તેડાગર કાર્યકર માટે અરજી કરે તો 43 વર્ષ સુધી.

રહેઠાણ: ગ્રામ્ય વિસ્તારમાં જે મહેસુલી ગામમાં આંગણવાડી છે ત્યાંની, અને શહેરમાં સંબંધિત નગરપાલિકા/મહાનગરપાલિકાના વોર્ડની ઓછામાં ઓછી એક વર્ષથી રહેવાસી હોવી જોઈએ. આ માટે જન સેવા કેન્દ્ર મારફતે મામલતદારશ્રીનું નિયત નમૂનાનું પ્રમાણપત્ર જરૂરી છે, જે જાહેરાતની તારીખે છ મહિનાથી જૂનું ન હોવું જોઈએ.

પસંદગી: કોઈ લેખિત પરીક્ષા નથી. શૈક્ષણિક લાયકાત અને મેળવેલ ગુણના ભારાંક પરથી આંગણવાડી કેન્દ્ર મુજબ ઓનલાઈન મેરિટ યાદી બનશે. હાલના તેડાગરને કાર્યકરની પસંદગીમાં તા. 25/11/2019 ના ઠરાવ મુજબ અગ્રતા મળશે.
