The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has opened applications for the Police Constable (GD) Recruitment Test 2026 on behalf of Police Headquarters, Bhopal. There are 7,500 posts: 700 in the Special Armed Force (SAF), which is for men only, and 6,800 in other units, where 35% of posts are for women.
Apply online from 22 September to 6 October 2026. The written exam is likely to begin on 19 November 2026. Candidates are not posted in their home district.
The pay scale is ₹19,500 – ₹62,000. During the first three years, new recruits receive 70%, 80% and 90% of the minimum pay as stipend.

Stage 1 – Written exam (MPESB)
Online, 100 objective questions in Hindi, 100 marks, 2 hours, no negative marking.
Shortlisting
Seven times the vacancies in each vertical category are called for the physical test.
Stage 2 – Physical proficiency test + documents
100 marks: 800 m run (40), long jump (30), shot put 7.26 kg (30). You need at least 30 marks.
Final merit
Written marks + physical test marks.
