GPRB Technical Cadre Recruitment 2026: 950 PSI Wireless, Technical Operator, PSI MT and HC Driver Mechanic Posts – Final Key and Marks Out

The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board (GPRB) is filling 950 Class-3 posts (our total of the three adverts) in the technical cadre of the Gujarat Police: 172 Police Sub-Inspector (Wireless) and 698 Technical Operator posts under Advt. GPRB/202526/2, 35 Police Sub-Inspector (Motor Transport) posts under Advt. GPRB/202526/3, and 45 Head Constable Driver Mechanic (Grade-I) posts under Advt. GPRB/202526/4. Online applications on OJAS closed on 29 January 2026, and the written exam for all four posts was held on Sunday, 23 August 2026.

Where it stands now: for PSI (Wireless) and Technical Operator, the final answer key and the marks are out. You can see your marks on GPRB's marks page on formonline.co.in (linked from the GPRB notice) until 15 October 2026, and a request to recheck your OMR sheet must reach the GPRB office by 15 October 2026 with a ₹500 demand draft. For PSI (Motor Transport) and Head Constable Driver Mechanic, the final answer key came out on 9 October 2026 and GPRB says the marks will be declared shortly. The next stage is document verification (with a physical measurement test for the Motor Transport posts) for about twice as many candidates as there are posts. GPRB has not announced its dates yet.

The pay is fixed for the first five years: ₹49,600 a month for PSI (Wireless) and PSI (Motor Transport), ₹40,800 for Technical Operator and ₹26,000 for Head Constable Driver Mechanic. After five years of satisfactory training and service, you are appointed on the regular pay scale of the post. PSI (Wireless) and Technical Operator, Advt. GPRB/202526/2

• Final answer key (18 September 2026): Q.3 accepts (A) or (C); Q.21 accepted (C) or (D); Q.27, 76, 96, 125, 126, 150 and 176 were cancelled.
• Change on 8 October 2026: Q.21 is now cancelled as well. Every candidate who appeared gets 1 mark for each cancelled question. That makes eight cancelled questions: 21, 27, 76, 96, 125, 126, 150 and 176. Note: the final answer key PDF released on 18 September still prints "Answer C or D" against Q.21. The 8 October notice overrides it.
• Marks: open GPRB's marks page (hosted on formonline.co.in and linked from the 8 October notice), enter your 8-digit written-test Roll No., 8-digit Confirmation No. and Birth Date, type the image text and click Login. The page says marks can be viewed till 15 October 2026.
• OMR sheet rechecking: under the Technical Services exam rules of 3 October 2024, you can apply for a recheck within seven days. Send three things: (A) a ₹500 demand draft from a nationalised bank in favour of "CHAIRMAN, GUJARAT POLICE RECRUITMENT BOARD", payable at Gandhinagar; (B) a photocopy of your call letter; (C) an application giving your name, confirmation number, roll number, question booklet code and mobile number. It must reach the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board, Bungalow No. G-12, near Sarita Udyan, Sector-9, Gandhinagar-382007 by 15 October 2026, in person or by speed post/courier. Applications with incomplete or wrong details, sent any other way, or received after 15 October 2026 are not considered.
• GPRB says the CCTV recordings of every exam room are being checked. Any candidate found to have used unfair means at any stage will have their candidature cancelled.

PSI (Motor Transport) and Head Constable Driver Mechanic (Grade-I), Advts. GPRB/202526/3 and /4

• Final answer key (9 October 2026), PSI (Motor Transport): Q.32 is (B), not (A); Q.52 is (C) or (D); Q.69 is (D), not (A); Q.98 is (C), not (B); Q.167 is (C), not (A); Q.182 is (B), not (A); Q.34, 153 and 194 are cancelled.
• Head Constable Driver Mechanic (Grade-I): Q.110 is (C), not (B); Q.141 is (A), not (C); Q.14, 94, 95 and 132 are cancelled.
• Every candidate who appeared gets 1 mark for each cancelled question. GPRB says the marks will be declared shortly.

Age is counted as on 29 January 2026. Upper age limit: 35 years for PSI (Wireless), Technical Operator and PSI (Motor Transport); 33 years for Head Constable Driver Mechanic (Grade-I). * The divyang rows are in the Wireless and Head Constable Driver Mechanic adverts only. The PSI (Motor Transport) advert has no divyang posts or divyang rows.

• Technical Operators already serving in the Gujarat Police wireless department get 3 years of upper-age relaxation for PSI (Wireless).
• For Technical Operator, PSI (Motor Transport) and Head Constable Driver Mechanic, the upper age limit may be relaxed for candidates already in Gujarat government service, as per the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• SEBC and EWS candidates get the relaxation only with a valid certificate (see below). Without it, they are treated as general candidates.

All qualifications and certificates (age, education, caste, non-creamy layer, EWS, sports, widow, ex-serviceman) must have been issued on or before 29 January 2026, the last date to apply. At document verification you must show the same original certificate whose number and date you entered in the online form. A new certificate obtained after the last date, even to correct a mistake, is not accepted. / તમામ પ્રમાણપત્રો તા. ૨૯/૦૧/૨૦૨૬ સુધીમાં ઇશ્યૂ થયેલા હોવા જોઈએ.

• SEBC non-creamy layer: the Gujarati format (Paripatra-4, based on income of 2022-23, 2023-24 or 2024-25) issued between 1 April 2023 and 29 January 2026, or the central government Annexure-A format issued from 1 April 2025. Married women must use a certificate based on their parents' income; one based on the husband's income gets the application cancelled. / પરિણીત મહિલાએ માતા-પિતાની આવકના આધારે પ્રમાણપત્ર રજૂ કરવું.
• EWS: Annexure-KH (English) or Paripatra-Ga (Gujarati) issued between 29 January 2023 and 29 January 2026, or the central government Income and Asset Certificate (income of 2024-25) issued between 1 April 2025 and 29 January 2026. A certificate made for Gujarat government schemes is not accepted.
• Ex-servicemen: identity card from the district Sainik Kalyan office issued by 29 January 2026, or retiring within one year of that date.
• Divyang: disability certificate as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the current central and Gujarat government instructions.
• Your category, date of birth and qualification as entered in the online form cannot be changed later.

The PSI (Motor Transport) and Head Constable Driver Mechanic (Grade-I) adverts set minimum physical standards. These are checked in a Physical Standard Test held with document verification. The PSI (Wireless) and Technical Operator advert has no height or chest standard. / મોટર ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટ PSI અને હેડ કોન્સ્ટેબલ ડ્રાઇવર મિકેનિક માટે શારીરિક ધોરણો:

• Chest expansion of at least 5 cm is compulsory for men.
• You are physically unfit if you have knock knee, pigeon chest, squint eye, flat feet, varicose veins, hammer toes, a fractured limb, decayed teeth or a communicable/skin disease.
• All three adverts also require SHAPE-I fitness under the recruitment rules (psychological, hearing, appendage, physical capacity for normal work and eyesight).
• Head Constable Driver Mechanic only: you must not be colour blind, must have clear vision with or without glasses, and must have no past history of fits or psychiatric ailments.
• Driving licence: for both Motor Transport posts, you must hold a valid Heavy Goods or Heavy Passenger Vehicle licence at the time of appointment. / નિમણૂક સમયે Heavy Goods અથવા Heavy Passenger Vehicle નું માન્ય લાયસન્સ જરૂરી.

• Negative marking 0.25. For PSI (Wireless) and Technical Operator, the advert says each question carries 1 mark and a wrong answer costs 0.25 mark. For the two Motor Transport posts, the syllabus lists "Negative marking 0.25" for each part. / નેગેટીવ માર્કિંગ ૦.૨૫ ગુણ.
• Every question has an option E ("Not attempted"). Choosing E costs nothing, but leaving a question with no option marked costs 0.25 mark (all three adverts). / વિકલ્પ-E પસંદ કરવાથી ગુણ કપાશે નહીં, કોઈ વિકલ્પ ન પસંદ કરો તો ૦.૨૫ ગુણ કપાશે.
• You need at least 40% in Part-A and 40% in Part-B separately to enter the merit list. / Part-A અને Part-B બંનેમાં અલગ-અલગ ઓછામાં ઓછા ૪૦% ગુણ જરૂરી.
• The Wireless and Technical Operator exam follows the exam rules of 3 October 2024 for these posts. The two Motor Transport exams follow the General Administration Department resolutions of 8 November 2023 and 16 December 2025, and their paper is set at the level of the required qualification.

• PSI (Wireless) and Technical Operator, Part-B (syllabus PDF): electronic components, devices and circuits; digital electronics and VLSI; networks, instruments and measurements; communication engineering; microwave, fibre optics, mobile and television engineering; microprocessors and microcontrollers (8085, 8051); computer networks; network security; web technology (ASP.NET); Android application development; current trends such as 4G LTE, POLNET, disaster-management communication and real-time surveillance.
• PSI (Motor Transport), Part-B (syllabus PDF): 100 marks from 20 engineering topics, including engineering drawing and mechanics, mechanics of materials, theory of machines, machine design, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and thermodynamics, IC engines, automobile engineering, pollution and vehicle insurance, vehicle diagnosis and testing, electric and hybrid vehicles, and AI/ML in the automotive industry. 20 marks from the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989, Gujarat Motor Vehicles Rules 1989, Gujarat Road Safety Policy 2016-17, Motor Vehicles (Driving) Regulations 2017, Gujarat Road Safety Authority Act 2018 and the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety guidelines.
• Head Constable Driver Mechanic (Grade-I), Part-B (syllabus PDF): engineering drawing; engineering mechanics; theory of machines and machine design; non-conventional energy sources; thermodynamics and thermal engineering; IC engines; materials and manufacturing; automobile engineering; CAD/CAM; pollution and vehicle insurance; diagnosis and testing of vehicles.

• Bonus marks: sportspersons who represented at national or international level, inter-university level or in All India School Federation events get 5% of their Part-A + Part-B marks added, with a certificate in the prescribed format from the competent authority. Widows get 5% too, provided they have not remarried at the time of appointment. / રમતવીર અને વિધવા ઉમેદવારોને લેખિત પરીક્ષાના કુલ ગુણના ૫% વધારાના ગુણ.
• Document verification: about twice the number of vacancies are called, in merit order of written marks plus bonus marks. For PSI (Motor Transport) and Head Constable Driver Mechanic, the Physical Standard Test is held at the same time.
• Wireless candidates choose their post at verification: one application covered both PSI (Wireless) and Technical Operator. You must state your preference at document verification; GPRB allots the post by merit and preference, and the preference cannot be changed later. / દસ્તાવેજ ચકાસણી સમયે પસંદગીનો સંવર્ગ જણાવવાનો રહેશે, પછી બદલી શકાશે નહીં.
• Tie-break: the older candidate ranks higher. For the two Motor Transport posts, if age is also the same, the taller candidate ranks higher. After that, higher Std-12 (Higher Secondary) marks decide.
• Waiting list: no waiting list is kept for PSI (Wireless) and Technical Operator. A waiting list is kept for PSI (Motor Transport) and Head Constable Driver Mechanic.
• Selected candidates must pass a medical examination before appointment, then the departmental training, the end-of-training exam and the Hindi/Gujarati/English language exams under government rules. The New Pension Scheme applies.
