The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC Sub-Inspector Recruitment 2026 notification for recruitment to Sub-Inspector posts in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and CISF Fire.
A total of 1,871 tentative vacancies have been announced under this recruitment drive. The recruitment includes Sub-Inspector posts in Delhi Police, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, and CISF Fire.

SSC has announced 1,871 tentative vacancies, including 205 Delhi Police SI (Male), 112 Delhi Police SI (Female), 1,320 SI (GD) posts in CAPFs, and 234 SI (Fire) posts in CISF.
The last date to submit the online application is 30 September 2026 at 11:00 PM. The last date for online fee payment is 1 October 2026 at 11:00 PM.
For Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Separate technical qualification requirements apply to SI (Fire) in CISF.
The age limit is 20 to 25 years for Delhi Police SI and CAPF SI posts, and 18 to 30 years for SI (Fire) in CISF, calculated as on 1 August 2026. Category-wise age relaxation is available as per the notification.
The notified posts carry Pay Level-6 with a pay scale of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400.
The application fee is ₹100. Women candidates and eligible SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempt from paying the fee.
